Brief Description
- One of the largest oil and gas terminals in Europe, BP’s Sullom Voe Terminal is entirely self-sufficient and handles oil and gas from more than 30 surrounding fields.
- It receives oil from the Brent and Ninian pipeline systems and condensate from the Shetland Gas Plant
- It has 16 crude oil storage tanks an oil and gas process plant and four jetties
- There are two operational stabilisation trains of respective capacity (bbls/day) 350,000, 410,000; and one retired (410,000 bbls.day)

- The Brent system fields are Brent Oil Field, Cormorant Oil Field, Eider Oil Field, Thistle Oil Field
- The Ninian system fields are the Ninian Oil Field, Greater Alwyn Oil and Gas Fields, Heather Oil and Gas Field and Magnus Oil Field
- It recieves oil from the Clair Oil Field and oil from Clair Ridge Oil Field will be transported to Sullom Voe when the project comes onstream
- Oil from the Schiehallion Oil Field, is brought to Sullom Voe by shuttle tanker
