Details

  • The Ionian Adriatic Pipeline (IAP) connects the existing and planned gas transmission system of Croatia with the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline TAP
  • The IAP will have a bidirectional gas flow and it will be fully compatible with the Hrvatska LNG Terminal on the island of Krk
  • The project aims to establish a new supply route for natural gas from the Middle East and Caspian region along the Adriatic coast.
  • The construction of the IAP, over 500 km long, will provide a sustainable, diversified and reliable supply of natural gas for Albania, Montenegro, southern Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • Its 5 bcm/y capacity provides the natural gas supply of Albania (1 bcm), Montenegro (0.5 bcm), the south of Bosnia and Herzegovina (1 bcm) and Croatia (2.5 bcm)
    • On the territory of Croatia the construction of four sections and a compressor station in Dugopolje has been planned. The mentioned sections are: Split – Zagvozd (52 km), Zagvozd – Ploče (50 km), Ploče – Dubrovnik (103 km) and Dubrovnik – Prevlaka – Dobreč (MN) in the length of 47 km.
