  • Indian Oil plans to connect the refinery to the coast by the Kandla-Viramgam-Siddhpur Pipeline
  • In 2011, Gujarat Refinery completed a mega project to comply regulations for supplying eco-friendly fuels and to upgrade the bottom of the barrel to improve the gross margin of the Refinery

  • 1981 - Expansion of Refinery from 4.3 to 7.3 Million TPA + 1 Million TPA FCC Unit
  • 1988 - Revamp of Refinery from 7.3 to 9.5 Million TPA
  • 1992 - UDEX Unit Revamp
  • 1993 - 1.2 Million TPA Hydrocracker & Hexane unit commissioned
  • 1999 - Refinery Expansion by 3 Million TPA
  • 1999 - 1.2 Million TPA DHDS & Sulphur Block Project
  • 2006 - Clean gasoline project
  • 2007 - L&T awarded sulphur recovery contract
  • 2011 - Delayed coker commissioned
  • 2018 - DHDS unit revamp completed
