It could potntially be doubled in size at a later date Main Contractors: Foster Wheeler Pre-front-end engineering design (pre-FEED) followed by the FEED Supply of steam methane reformers Axens: has the basic engineering design contracts for some of the units JGC, Chiyoda , Technip , SK Engineering & Construction, and GS Engineering - Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Refining Units Atmospheric Distillation Residue Fluidized Catalytic Cracking (RFCC) unit - Axens Prime-D™ - Gas Oil desulfurization unit - Axens Prime-K™ - Kerosene desulfurization unit - Axens Delayed Coker - Foster Wheeler Steam Methane Reformer Terminal Capacity Crude Oil: Refined Products: Crude Supply The refinery is designed to process 100% Kuwaiti crude supplied by KPC Products Produced LPG, non-lead gasoline, kerosene/jet fuel, diesel, furnace oil, Polypropylene, Benzene, Paraxylene, and sulphur. History 2008 - The partners announce the project 2008 - Foster Wheeler awarded PreFEED 2010 - Foster Wheeler awarded contract for the provision of technical and commercial services 2011 - IFC announces support for the project 2013 - EPC contract signed 2013 - JBIC signed a loan agreement totalling up to 1.65 billion U.S. dollars 2013 - Ground breaking ceremony held Other Information This will be Vietnam's second refinery when it is completed Construction will start in mid 2013 A loan packaged backed by JBIC, amounts to $5 Billion
