- 2008 - Construction has officially begun on the Richmond Refinery’s Renewal Project
- 2009 - A California court halted construction
- 2011 – Chevron submitted a Conditional Use Permit application to the city of Richmond initiating a process to obtain approval for the construction of operational and environmental improvements
- 2018 - The project was completed
