Description
- The fields are characterized by complicated geological structure and unique oil properties, known for high paraffin content ( up to 29%) and pyrobitumen-tarry substances (up to 20%) which are responsible for high freezing temperature (+32C)
- Associated gas is processed at the Kazakh Gas Processing Plant LLP
History
- Uzen fields were discovered in December 1961.
- They have been in commercial development since 1965.
- 2022 - New deposits discovered
Geology
- It is a multilayer field with a complex structure, where oil and gas reservoirs are concentrated in the terrigenous section of the Jurassic-Cretaceous deposits.
