- The Canadian Mainline carries natural gas from the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin (WCSB) to Ontario and beyond to the Québec/Vermont border and connects with other natural gas pipelines in Canada and the U.S.
- It has interconnects with a number of pipelines including Empire Gas Pipeline, Great Lakes Gas Transmission Company (GLGT) Pipeline, Iroquois Gas Pipeline and Trans Québec and Maritimes Pipeline (TQM)
- Gas is supplied by the Nova Gas Transmission Gas Pipeline
- It connects with the Dawn Natural Gas Hub in Ontario
History
- 1997 - System Expansion completed
- 2007 - 860 kilometres (530 miles) between Burstall, Saskatchewan and Carman, Manitoba were transfered to become part of the [[[Keystone Pipeline]]]
