Other Information
- Petro-Canada awarded Bantrel the EPC contract to convert this refinery to process bitumen-based feedstock from the company's oilsands extraction sites. The project was completed in 2008.
- The RCP involves the replacement of the existing process units: crude unit, vacuum unit, delayed coker, amine unit, sulphur plant and sour water stripping. In addition, a number of units were revamped and offsites and utilities added.
History
- 2004 - Air Products and Technip awarded hydrogen plant contract
- 2008 - Refinery upgrade project completed, enabling the refinery to switch to oil sands
- 2010 - Delayed coker project completed
- 2013 - KBR signs three year maintenance agreement
