Ongoing Projects/Project Status
- Terminal was commissioned in 2013
- A third phase expansion will add an additional 260,000 m3 tank and an additional regasification train by 2018

History
- 2006 - Mr Lim Hng Kiang, Minister for Trade and Industry announced that Singapore would build an LNG terminal
- 2007 - PowerGas Ltd (PowerGas), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore Power Limited, was designated as the LNG terminal owner and operator
- 2008 - BG Singapore Gas Marketing Pte. Ltd. was appointed as the LNG Aggregator for Singapore. In this role, BG will aggregate demand for regasified LNG from all end-users in Singapore and procure LNG supply
- 2009 - the Government announced that it would take over the development and ownership of the Singapore LNG terminal
- 2010 - SLNG awarded the contract for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of Singapore's LNG terminal to Samsung C&T Corporation (Samsung). Foster Wheeler Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (Foster Wheeler) was also appointed by SLNG to be its Project Management Consultant.
- 2011 - Samsung awarded contract for the Third LNG Storage Tank
- 2013 - Terminal commences operations
- 2014 - Third tank completed
- 2014 - Samsung C&T awarded phase three
- 2017 - Phase 3 expansion was completed
Other Information
- In October 2010, it was announced that the terminal would have an additional third tank, to meet strong demand
