Description
- The Roncador field was a major breakthrough for many reasons, including the world’s first drillpipe riser, subsea tree and early-production riser (EPR) rated for 6,600 ft (2,000 m). The first well, RJS-436, produced to the FPSO Seillean from 1999 to 2001 using the EPR at a world water-depth record of 6,077 ft (1,853 m) with the GLL TLD 2000 subsea tree.
- The FSO Cidade de Macae MV15 which has a storage capacity of 2.15 million barrels of oil, is one of the largest FSO units in the world
- The FSO topsides include a crude inlet heater module, crude import/export metering module, E-house and three gas turbine generators sets which make up the power generation module
- The FSO will receive and export production from five platforms offshore Brazil: P-52 ( Roncador), P-53 ( Marlim Leste), P-51 ( Marlim Sul) and P-55 ( Roncador) and Roncador Module 4 unit that will be installed in the future.
- The FSO Cidade de Macae MV15 is capable of receiving up to 818,000 barrels of oil per day
- A semi-submersible-type unit, the P-52 is installed 125 km off the coast, at a water depth of 1,800 meters, a Brazilian record. In addition to the excellent-quality light oil (28o API), the platform will also produce 7.5 million cubic meters of natural gas per day.
- Cidade De Macae MV15 FSO
- **P-55** is a semi-submersible unit, installed at a water depth of 1,800 meters, is designed to process 180,000 barrels of oil per day, compress 6,000,000 m3 of natural gas per day and inject 290,000 barrels of water per day. Weighing 52,000 tons and with an area of 10,000 m2, P-55 is the biggest semi-submersible platform ever built in Brazil and one of the biggest of its kind worldwide.
- Gas will be processed at the Cabiúnas Gas Processing Plant
