History
- 1961 - The Izmit Refinery started production with a 1 million ton/year capacity of crude oil processing
- 1982 - Design capacity reached 11.5 million tons/year
- 1996 - 23,000 bpd Hydrocracker and 12,500 bpd CCR Reformer commissioned
- 2007 - A CCR Reformer Unit and Diesel Desulfurization Unit (MQD) were put into operation
- 2011 - Construction of the upgrading project launched
- 2015 - The upgrade project was completed
