  • The structure is a slope valley channel deposit with two main fault blocks and spans an area of 20 square kilometers.
  • The development plan consists of a phased reservoir exploitation using subsea wells with a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel.
  • The Frade FPSO, moored by an internal turret accommodating 33 risers, is fitted with topsides for the production of 100,000 barrels of oil, treatment and compression of 106 million standard cubic feet of gas and treatment and injection of 150,000 barrels of water per day
  • PetroRio bought out all the other partners between 2019 and 2021 and has been redeveloping the field
  • The Wahoo Oil Field is being developed as an extension of Frade
