Brief Description

• Dung Quat is a medium sized, medium complexity refinery

Refining Units

• Atmospheric Distillation
• Continuous Catalytic Reformer (CCR)
• Residual Fluid Catalytic Cracking (RFCC)
• LCO hydrotreating unit
• Naphtha hydrotreater
• Sulfur recovery unit
• Benzene, Toluene Xylene (BTX) plant.

Crude Supply

• Half of the crude is to be supplied by BP
• Initially all of the crude was domestic Vietnamese crude from the Bach Ho Oil and Gas Field, but supply has been diversified to include Russian ESPO
• Since 2011 the refinery also processes Malaysian crude

Products Produced

• LPG, unleaded gasoline, kerosene / jet fuel, feedstock for propylene plant, diesel (industrial and auto) and petrochemical production.

History

• 2009 - Refinery operations start
• 2010 - Refinery starts to process imported crudes, the first being ESPO
• 2015 - Gazprom Neft agreed to acquired a 49% stake
• 2024 - WOOD awarded upgrade contract
