Description

  • The field utilises a semi-submersible production vessel which services six fields namely, **Balmoral**, **Stirling**, **Beauly**, ** Brenda**, **Nicol** and **Burghley**
  • The **Glamis** Oil Field is also tied back to the FPU
  • Oil is transported via the Forties Pipeline System

History

  • 1983 - Government approval granted for the development
  • 1986 - First oil produced
  • 1987 - Glamis development approved
  • 2004 - CNR acquires 70.20% of the field
  • 2007 - Oilexpro acquires stake from CNR
  • 2009 - Premier acquires Oilexpro and becomes operator
  • 2021 - Premier Oil and Chrysaor merge to create Harbour Energy
  • 2021 - Approval granted for decommissioning

Geology

  • Andrew Formation sandstones of Late Palaeocene age form the reservoir, which is sealed by Lista Formation claystones.
