Crude Supply

  • Atyrau, has been processing crude oil of Kazakhstan exclusively. It is located close to the richest oil fields in the country, such as Tengiz Oil Field, Zhanazhol Oil Field and Uzen Oil Field

History

  • 1945 - The Soviets built the Atyrau refinery with a capacity 800,000 tones per year
  • 2005 - Modernisation by JGC Completed
  • 2007 - Completion of Gasoline Hydrotreating Unit, Diesel Fuel Hydrotreating Unit and Diesel Fuel Dewaxing Unit, Isomerization Unit, Sulphur Recovery Unit, Hydrogen Generating Unit
  • 2015 - First paraxylene produced
  • 2019 - First winter diesel produced with a cold filter plugging point of -38° C
