Brief Description
- Atlantic is the operator of a four-train liquefaction facility located at Point Fortin on the southwest coast of Trinidad, and is one of the largest exporters of LNG in the world.
- Each Train is ultimately owned by a holding company which comprises its own group of Member companies.
- The four train LNG liquefaction plant is located in Point Fortin, on the southwest coast of Trinidad.
- Gas is supplied from a large number of offshore fields, via the Beachfield Gas Processing Plant

History
- 1996 - Construction of the project began
- 1997 - Financing package completed
- 1999 - Atlantic LNG began commercial operation
- 2000 - Construction of Trains 2 and 3 commenced
- 2002 - Train 2 was commissioned
- 2003 - Train 3 was commissioned
- 2005 - Train 4 was commissioned
- 2010 - Atlantic loads its 2000th Cargo
- 2011 - CIC purchases a 10% stake in the terminal
- 2013 - Shell acquires Repsol's stake
- 2015 - Shell acquired BG Group and became majority owner
