Description
- The field consists of Amethyst East & Amethyst West, with each section having two unmanned platforms. The platforms are A1D, A2D, B1D & C1D
- Amethyst Gas Field acts as a hub for a number of satellites including the Rose Field and the Helvellyn Gas Field.
- The Helvellyn field comprises one gas field and is in the Southern Basin of the UKCS in licence P001, Block 47/10a. The development consisted of a single subsea well which is completed with a subsea production tree protected by an over-trawlable structure which ties back to the Amethyst A2D platform.
- The Rose field (block 47/15), wholly owned by Centrica, comprises a single subsea well (47/15b�6W) tied back to the Amethyst A2D platform via a 9.042km long, 10” nominal bore pipeline.
- Gas is transported by subsea pipeline to the Easington Gas Processing Terminal

Geology
