I drink soda, water, and all kinds of juices in a bottle and this results to a collection of plastic bottles piling up in our garage. We probably have a trip to the recycling center once every three months, or more than that, until we filled up all our three medium size bags.
Recycling the empty bottles will put money in the pocket and can help a lot with the expenses. But is there other ways of reusing the empty bottles? Well, let's all see what are the things that can be made out of all these plastic bottles. Makes me wonder how many I can come up with.

Yes, I was absolutely thinking about using plastic bottles as a vase but I didn't imagine that it can be as nice, I mean as beautiful and creative with this woven plastic vase.
And with the fresh flowers and water beads, it will be such a great design or addition for the living room's atmosphere. With someone who has a creative mind to reuse bottles like this one, this would be a good way to inspire kids to be creative ones as well.

How? Empty a bag of [ ] into the vase and add water. Let it soak for few hours or until the beads had reach their full size. Drain the water once the beads is on their full size, your water beads are ready, add the cut flowers and all done.
You might be thinking, "I'm reusing the plastic bottles and now I have to spend money on those beads." I got my water beads from winning an auction on Ebay, about a $1 with free shipping and about 10 bags. But if you are scheduled for a grocery shopping, you might want to check out "99 Cents" store if you have one near you as I found out they have water beads in their store once I went there to buy decorative stones.

Roofing with bottles!
What a clever way of using plastic bottles that most people would either recycle or throw on their blue recycle bins.
Made from the 7000 empty plastic bottles collected, this creation came into existence, a project of The Growing Gardens. The bottles are flattened and made into this beautiful roof.
If only we have a backyard big enough to have a small hut, I would talk my dad into making one with plastic bottles for roofing. I could see myself spending some afternoon time in there watching the hummingbirds enjoying the feeders and investigating the flowers and a bamboo fountain.

Know about the [ ] planters? One would cost about a $1, but if you could use that empty 2 liters of Pepsi or Coke, that would save you a lot. It would save you money, (instead of buying hanging baskets), it would save you time and gas too.

Another clever photo here that Mr. Google showed me. If you love birds and having them as frequent yard visitors, you might want to try making this feeder, simple, but will save you BIG bucks instead of purchasing one. I don't have bird feeders but this got me curious as to how much does bird feeders cost? I passed by few times at these feeders whenever I go to Walmart and one would cost less than $20 (depends on the style or design.) Then I went on to check Walmart's website and prices ranges from $20-30, not including the shipping.

Have you reused a plastic bottle? No. Most of the time I recycle my bottles. Sometimes. But I can hardly remember how. A big YES! I refill it with other drinks. I had used it for a scooper.[# See results]

Of all photos, this was the one that took my breath away. This 3 story EcoARK Exhibition Hall from Taiwan was made from 1.5 plastic bottles. And not only that, this structure can be disassembled and rebuild, that is if they decided they want to move it to a new location.

This parking shade could really be a big help with the hot weather, and if this was my car, I think it was going to say thank you with a big smile.
I hope one day I could spot one like this shade, not for cars but for commuters. I used to ride the bus before and it was boring and hard to wait for the bus to come during Summer and in those rainy days.

I love these planters! What a brilliant idea to grow herbs such as parsley, basil, onions, garlic and flowering plants. I could imagine a lavender growing in there. I would love to try this on our patio. As of now, our place is like a jungle with the chayote which has taken up most of the space, bittermelons which just started climbing, and with other plants we have on our [ ], this plastic bottle hanging garden is a thumbs up from me.

The flower shaped bottom of the plastic bottles can be made into this. They could either be used as curtains or indoor and outdoor hanging decorations.
And if used as outdoor decorations, these could help on [ ] into the garden. Colored with red, hummers could easily spot the decors as they are attracted to the color red, that way, the little birds could spot your hummingbird feeders too.

This one is what I usually do with an empty plastic bottle: refilling it with filtered water. But not only with water but also with juices, cold tea, and even soda. I can't, and I'm not going to carry a 2 liter of soda with me. So what I do is fill my bottle and carry it, then rinsing it when it's empty so I can use it again.

I was wowed when I watched this idea on Philippine television they call 1 liter of light Project where these empty plastic bottles are reused to become solar-powered bulbs and was given to the poor families.
How? A 1 liter of empty plastic bottle with water and bleach, sealed tightly with the cap then sealed into an iron roof's hole, just right for the bottle to fit in is installed into the roof. What a clever way to save money on paying electric bills don't you agree?

This is awesome. Thumbs up. I read some time back on how to make resealable bags out of bottle top and cap. Great! Reading only is not enough gotta make some and reuse. We complain a lot about the economy and the expenditure and not enough salaries, we should think about what we can do to reduce our wastage.

This is very useful and informative, The last one is a bit familiar, it's been done here in our country, and the first who do the light bottles are fellow Filipinos. They use Chlorox and water then put it on the roof to make the home more brighter.
