Description

  • The Sépia Leste field is at approximately 250 km and the Sépia field 185 km from the coast of Rio de Janeiro state, at a depth of 2,165 meters.
  • The permanent development utilises the Carioca FPSO MV30 but an early production system used Cidade de São Vicente FPSO

Contractors

  • MODEC: Engineering, procurement, construction, mobilization and installation of the FPSO, including topsides processing equipment as well as hull and marine systems.
  • Sofec designed and provided the spread mooring system

History

  • 2014 - The Sépia field was declared commercially viable
  • 2015 - The Sépia Leste field was declared commercially viable
  • 2016 - Early production system produces oil for 180 days
  • 2017 - Modec awarded FPSO contract
  • 2021 - First oil produced
