Description

  • The Sépia Leste field is at approximately 250 km and the Sépia field 185 km from the coast of Rio de Janeiro state, at a depth of 2,165 meters.
  • The permanent development utilises the Carioca FPSO MV30 but an early production system used Cidade de São Vicente FPSO
  • A total of 15 wells are planned, but the first phase includes seven-riser wells (3 producers and 4 injector wells)

Contractors

  • MODEC: Engineering, procurement, construction, mobilization and installation of the FPSO, including topsides processing equipment as well as hull and marine systems.
  • Sofec designed and provided the spread mooring system
  • McDermott Detailed engineering, surveys, supply, installation and pre-commissioning of rigid pipelines, jumpers, buoyance modules, strakes and riser monitoring systems for seven-riser wells (3 producers and 4 injector wells) connected to the Carioca FPSO MV30

History

  • 2014 - The Sépia field was declared commercially viable
