Brief Description

  • In Phase I from December 2022, the floating LNG terminal (FSRU 1) will be located in the port of Lubmin and will be connected to the transmission network via a newly constructed interconnector. In Phase I, the planned regasification capacity is up to 5.2 billion m³ of natural gas per year.
  • In Phase II, another floating LNG terminal will initially be installed offshore on German territory from December 2023 (FSRU 2). This will increase the regasification capacity to up to 11.5 billion m³ of natural gas per year.
  • By relocating FSRU 1 from the port of Lubmin to an offshore location from summer 2024, the planned regasification capacity will be increased by a further 2.0 billion m³ of natural gas per year.
  • In this state of expansion, the planned regasification capacity of the German Baltic LNG terminal will amount to a total of up to 13.5 billion m³ of natural gas per year from summer 2024.
