Crude Supply

  • Approximately 80 percent of crude oil processed is domestic. The balance comes from the North Sea and West Africa.
  • The crude oil supplied to the refinery is delivered via the Marathon and Mid Valley Crude Oil Pipeline.
  • The Millennium pipeline allows the delivery of up to 65,000 bpd of foreign waterborne crude oil to the Mid Valley Crude Oil Pipeline at Longview, Texas.
  • The Mid-Valley pipeline is also supplied with West Texas Intermediate domestic crude oil via the West Texas Gulf pipeline.
  • The Marathon pipeline is supplied via the Capline Oil Pipeline, Ozark Crude Oil Pipeline, Platte Crude Oil Pipeline, ExxonMobil and Mustang pipelines.

  • gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, residual fuels and petrochemical feedstocks

History

  • 1886 - Refinery Commissioned
  • 1998 - Clack acquired the refinery from BP
  • 2005 - BOC signed contract to provide hydrogen
  • 2005 - Valero acquired Premcor, which owned the refinery along with refineries in Port Arthur, Texas, and Memphis, Tennessee
  • 2007 - Acquired by Husky for $1.9 Billion
  • 2015 - A fire occurred in the hydrocracker
  • 2021 - Cenovus owner after merger with Husky
