Description

  • Previously known as the Carioca Oil And Gas Field, Lapa is in the BM-S-9 block in the "pre-salt" region of the Santos Basin in water depth of 2,100m
  • The field is also known as **Sugar Loaf**
  • The field will utilise the vessel Cidade de Caraguatatuba FPSO, which is capable of processing 100,000 barrels of crude oil per day, 177 MMSCFD, 120,000 barrels of water injection per day and has storage of 1,600,000 barrels of crude oil.

Lapa North East

  • This development consists of 5 wells tied back to the FPSO

Contractors

  • **Schahin Group / MODEC:** Engineering, procurement, construction, mobilization, installation and operation of the FPSO, including topsides processing equipment as well as hull and marine systems.
  • **SOFEC:** Design and supply of the spread mooring system.

Lapa North East

  • Subsea 7: transport, installation and pre-commissioning of 35 kilometres of flexible pipelines and 20 kilometres of umbilical, connecting 5 wells to the FPSO

Geology

  • Initial testing has indicated the existence of a reservoir 200 metres thick, containing 26º API grade oil
