Details

  • The design capacity of the main gas pipeline "Kazakhstan-China" is 55 billion m3 per year. Lines “A” and “B” transport 30 billion m3 of gas, whereas “C” line produces 25 billion m3.
  • The goal of the pipeline is to ensure the transit of Turkmen and Uzbek gas in the direction of the People’s Republic of China, export Kazakhstan gas to the People’s Republic of China, as well as uninterrupted gas supply to the southern regions of Kazakhstan.
  • The length of the gas pipeline through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan is 2,612 km for the A and B lines, 1 304 km for the C line.


History

  • 2007 - Agreement signed between China and Kazakhstan to build the pipeline
