Hiker Dies After Falling From 100ft Waterfall In North Carolina

A hiker has died after falling off a 100-foot waterfall in North Carolina while trying to take a photo. 
Aaron Post, 28, died from his injuries after falling from the top of Big Bradley Falls in Polk County, west of Charlotte, early Saturday.
Witnesses say Post, of Charleston, South Carolina, was kneeling down to take a photo but slipped and fell when he tried to stand back up again. 
Post was spotted plunging down the rock face and into the water, [ ]reports.

More than 50 rescue crews were called in to help retrieve Post from the bottom of the waterfall. 
A rescue helicopter was brought in to lift him out of the rugged area before he was rushed to a local hospital via ambulance. 
He was in a critical condition when he arrived but later died on Sunday from his injuries. 
'Although the outcome is not what anyone wants; everyone worked together as a team to make sure this patient had the best care and extraction they could,' Henderson County Rescue Squad said.  
'Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends during this difficult time.'

The most recent death, prior to the incident involving Post, to take place at the falls was a Charlotte man who fell when he was hiking with his daughters back in 2017.

Forest Service posted a warning on Facebook on Monday urging people to remember the dangers. 
'Waterfalls are beautiful but many people have died or http://travelzee.website2.me/blog/best-waterfalls-in-tamilnadu-to-visit been seriously injured from unsafe behavior around the falls,' the warning said.  
'Do not climb around or stand at the top of the falls.
It is often unsafe and unstable and has resulted in death on the National Forests. 
'Don't be the next victim. Your safety is your responsibility.'
