Brief Description

  • A large olefins, polyolefins complex. It was built in three stages and a fourth is under construction.
  • The plant is currently the world's largest ethane cracker complex

Production Units

  • Borouge 1: Ethane cracker 600,000 kt, polyethylene unit 600 kt
  • Borouge 2: Ethane cracker 1.5 mt, polyethylene unit 540 kt, polypropylene unit 800 kt, olefins conversion 750kt
  • Borouge 3: Ethane cracker 1.5 mt, polyethylene unit 1,080 kt, polypropylene unit 960 kt,


Raw Materials Supply

  • Ethane is provide by ADNOC from its gas processing units
  • Propylene is supplied from the Al-Ruwais Refinery

  • Polyethylene and polypropylene
