• The pipeline connects to the Yacuiba To Rio Grande Gas Pipeline GASYRG in Rio Grande

• 1997 - Project approved by World Bank
• 1998 - Project approved by EIB
• 1999 - First section enters commercial operation
• 2000 - Second section enters commercial operation

• 2007 - Shell sold a stake in the pipeline to Ashmore
• 2008 - A major accident and fire temporarily closed the pipeline
