Description
- The La Cira Infantas field is located in the Middle Magdalena basin; the block comprises two fields: La Cira and Infantas, corresponding to two structural closures. La Cira in the northern portion and Infantas in the southern portion of the block.
- La Cira-Infantas was discovered in the early 20th century and reached peak production in the 1940's, when it produced nearly 60,000 barrels per day
- La Cira Infantas Field is a large scale waterflood, enhanced oil recovery project.
- Oil from La Cira Infantas is sold to the Barrancabermeja refinery
