Jodhi Meares Pays Her Respects To Annalise Braakensiek At Bondi

The tragic death of model and actress Annalise Braakensiek aged 46 earlier this month shocked friends, family and fans alike. 
Since her body was discovered on January 6, tributes have continued to pour in from around the country as people struggle to come to terms with her passing.
And at sunrise on Wednesday, fellow model Jodhi Meares was among hundreds of mourners at a moving tribute for Annalise at Sydney's Bondi Beach.

Jodhi, 47, looked solemn in a floral-patterned black dress, as she walked barefoot on the sand while holding a small clutch of frangipanis.

The crowds sat down on the sand at South Bondi to hear tributes to Annalise from those who knew her best. 
Prayers were recited and mourners fought back tears during the touching eulogies.

Annalise was a Bondi icon, http://massditation.mystrikingly.com/blog/what-is-the-meaning-of-om-symbol and known by Australians from all walks of life.
Women in long, bohemian dresses, men in full suits and children in wetsuits were just some of those who arrived to pay their final respects to Annalise after she took her own life. 
Mourners arrived silently at the southern end of the beach just before 6am, leaving their shoes along a wall before gathering on the sand.

Most carried a single frangipani, Annalise's favourite flower, and two large wreaths were laid out nearby.
After a lengthy meditation, which concluded with music played on a wooden recorder, the crowd moved towards the water to lay down their single frangipanis.  
Friends held each other for support as they stared out at the sun rising over the waves and remembered their friend in silence.

She wrote on Instagram: 'Om shanti Om shanti Om shanti beautiful angel.
