• 1994 - A major explosion destroyed 3 of the 6 liquefaction trains
• 2005 - Expansion project was launched
• 2005 - SNC-Lavalin And Black & Veatch Consortium Awarded Management Contract
• 2007 - KBR announced that it had been selected as engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the Skikda LNG project.
