Huntington Oil Field

The field is no longer in production
The Huntington Field was a subsea development located in block 22/14b in the Central North Sea, 230km east-northeast of Aberdeen, in a water depth of approximately 89 metres. The Field was tied back to the Voyageur Spirit FPSO, where produced fluids were processed.
Gas was used for gas lift, fuel and exported to the CATS Central Area Transmission System Gas Pipeline to the Teesside Gas Processing Plant TGPP.
Stabilised crude oil was exported via shuttle tankers.

Subsea 7: Installation of 12km of the 8-inch Gas Export pipeline, installation of infield flexible flowlines, main static umbilical and associated risers as well as installation of subsea structures followed by tie-ins, pre-commissioning and system testing.

2007 - Completion of the first stage of appraisal drilling
2009 - Premier acquired a share of the field on acquiring Oilexco
2010 - Letter of Intent signed for FPSO
2010 - Wood Group has been awarded a five year operations and maintenance contract to provide asset management services for the FPSO
2012 - Voyageur Spirit FPSO set sail for the field
2012 - Iona Energy acquired 15% from Carrizo Oil & Gas
2013 - Huntington – first oil announced
2016 - Premier Oil acquired EON's share
2020 - The field was shut down
2021 - Approval granted for decommissioning

Three discoveries in three horizons have been made in the licence; the Forties formation, the Fulmar formation and the Triassic Skagerrak formation
