Summary Information Ownership: Lukoil Website: http://www.lukoil.com/ List of Lukoil Refineries Wiki Page: Nizhny Novgorod Refinery Location: Nizhny Novgorod Capacity: 17.0 million tons/annum & 340,000 bbl/day Nelson Complexity: Project Stage: Expected Completion: 2021 Budget: The Project Project Type: Upgrade Project Summary: Apart from a delayed coker, the complex, with the total annual feed rate of 2.1 million tons, features a diesel hydrotreater, a gas fractionator, hydrogen and sulfur production units, as well as infrastructure facilities. Once the new facility is commissioned, the Nizhny Novgorod refinery will significantly reduce its production of fuel oil, increase refinery yield up to 95.5% and achieve higher synergy with the fluidized catalytic-cracking units already in operation. As a result, the yield of light petroleum products will grow from the actual 64% up to 76%. Main Contractors CB&I: detailed engineering, procurement and supply of process equipment, including two proprietary delayed coking heaters Kinetics Technology: EPC contracts for the Diesel Fuel Hydrotreater Unit, a Hydrogen Production Unit, a Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) unit as well as a Gas Fractionation Unit and a Sulphur Recovery Unit. Chevron Lummus Global's (CLG): Delayed coking technology Refining Units Delayed coker Diesel hydrotreater, gas fractionator, Hydrogen production unit Sulphur production unit Terminal Capacity Crude Oil: Refined Products: Crude Supply - Products Produced The construction of the complex and related operations optimization will improve the refinery's light product yield by more than 10% while reducing the fuel oil production by 2.7 million tonnes per annum History 2017 - Final investment decision taken 2017 - CB&I awarded EPC contract 2018 - Construction started Other Information -
