Description

  • The Bøyla field is located in block 24/9 in the northern part of the North Sea
  • The water depth at the site is approx. 120 metres.
  • The development solution is a subsea installation consisting of two horizontal production wells and one water injection well.
  • These are tied in to the Alvheim FPSO (floating production, storage and offloading) for further transport and processing.

Geology

  • Bøyla produces oil from sandstone of late Paleocene to early Eocene age in the Hermod Formation. The reservoir has good quality and lies in a channelised submarine fan system at depth of 2,100 metres.
