- Associated gas is obtained from the Umm Shaif Oil Field, Zakum and Bunduq oilfields, whilst natural gas is found at the Abu Al Bukhoosh Kuff, Uweinat, Areaj and Umm Shaif Khuff oilfields, and at the cap gas fields. In total, the plant receives 12 distinct gas streams, and blends them to produce LNG and LPG and Pentane to meet clients’ requirements.

History
- 1971 - The Gas Liquefaction Project Agreement signed
- 1972 - 20-year Sale Agreement with TEPCO signed
- 1973 - Contract for the construction of ADGAS plant on Das island signed
- 1973 - Plant’s foundation stone laid
- 1977 - Trains 1 and 2 were originally commissioned in 1977, each with an operating capacity of 180 tons of LNG per hour
- 1990 - ADGAS and TEPCO sign a new 25-year agreement under which TEPCO buys ADGAS doubled LNG production as from 1994
- 1994 - Production started from the 3rd LNG Process Train
- 1995 - ADGAS first LNG shipment to Europe exported
- 2002 - BP signed 4 year 0.75 Mton contract
- 2007 - Signing a contract for the construction of the facilities of Offshore Associated Gas (OAG) Project
