The full pipeline stretches from Alberta, Canada, through the United States, then back into Canada at the Michigan-Ontario border. The reversal was intially for only part of the pipeline, from Kankakee, Illinois to Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada. The 10-mile (10-inch diameter) Marshall Lateral came online in December 2015 and extended the Gonzales County origin northeast into Gonzales County.
