- The Tamazunchale Pipeline is a 370 km (230 miles) natural gas pipeline, comprised of two segments: Naranjos – El Sauz (130 km) and Tamazunchale - El Sauz, better known as the Tamazunchale Extension (240 km). The pipeline serves communities on the East Coast of Mexico and Central Mexico.

- 2005 - TransCanada Awarded US$181 contract to build Pipeline
- 2006 - Pipeline enters operations
- 2012 - TransCanada Awarded Contract to Build US$500 Million Extension to the pipeline
+++ Other Information
- Design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up and performance testing services were provided by Techint
- Transcanada is building an extension to the pipeline system
- The project will be 235 kilometers (146 miles) long and have contracted capacity of 630 million cubic feet a day (MMCf/d). The pipeline will use a combination of 30- and 36-inch-diameter pipe and have 37 megawatts of installed compression.
