Description
- The Meleiha block is located in the Northern Province of Egypt’s Western Desert, and consists of four main fields (Aman, North-East Meleiha, West Meleiha, and South-East Meleiha).
- There are a number of other minor fields including Arcadia, Emry Deep & Rosa North
- The fields were discovered in the 1970s and development began in 1978. The block covers an area of 700 km2
- There are 217 oil production wells and 50 injection wells at the field
- Oil is delivered to export via a 167-km pipeline to the Al-Khamra oil terminal.
