+++ Description
* A gas and condensate field between Kvitebjørn and Gullfaks South in the Norwegian North Sea, about 160 kilometres west of Bergen
* The recoverable reserves are estimated at 206 million barrels of oil equivalents – including 26 billion cubic metres of gas, five million cubic metres of condensate and one million cubic metres of natural gas liquids (NGL).
* The appraisal well on Valemon was drilled from the Statoil-operated Kvitebjørn platform. With a total length of 7,380 metres this well is the longest high pressure/high temperature (HPHT) well ever drilled by the group.
* Gas from Valemon will be transported via the existing pipeline from Huldra to Heimdal, a hub which enables the gas to be exported to European markets
* The approximately 9,200 tonnes Valemon jacket is approximately 157 meters tall with a footprint of 45 x 45 meters and a top of 26 x 30 meters.

+++ Geology
* The deposit has a complex structure with several faults. The reservoirs consist of Middle Jurassic sandstones in the Brent Group and Lower Jurassic sandstones in the Cook Formation. The reservoirs lie at a depth of approximately 4 000 metres, with high pressure and temperature.
