1965 - The Sarroch refinery commissioned by Snamprogetti with a capacity of 135,000 bpd
1968 - A new topping plant and fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) plant are added
1970 - The Alkylation unit and a sewage treatment plant begin operation
1983 - A visbreaking unit (45,000 bl/day) and a vacuum plant (60,000 bl/day)are built
1984 - A new reforming (CCR) plant enters operation (30,000 bl/day)
1992 - A new mild hydrocracking plant (MHC) enters operation (70,000 bl/day)
2007 - Upgrading of some refinery key units successfully completed
2012 - Rosneft and Saras Sign Agreement on Establishing a JV
2013 - Rosneft acquires a minority stake
2015 - Rosneft disposes of 9% to the market
