* Main Contractors:
* A joint venture of **Jacobs Engineering** Group Inc. and **Bechtel** Corporation will manage the engineering, procurement, and construction for the facility expansion
* **Teton Industrial Construction**, Inc., an independent operating company in the PCL family of companies, has been awarded the $130-million dollar OSBL (outside the battery limit) GC (general contractor)—1 & 2 Packages

+++ Refining Units

* For this project, Motiva has designed one of the largest single-train crude distillation units in the world, capable of processing 325,000 barrels daily.
* Catalytic reformer: Converts about 85,000 barrels per day into high-octane gasoline for blending.
* Isomerization unit: Produces gasoline blend components without creating benzene.
* Hydrotreater: Prepares the feed by removing sulfur.
* Other fractions from the crude distillation unit will go into the new hydrocracker, one of the largest in the world, which will upgrade about 75,000 barrels per day into gasoline and diesel. “This hydrocracker will be integrated with a new 60,000-barrel-per-day diesel hydrotreater, which makes it unique,” Burt says. “Typically, the units are separate, but we’ve chosen to integrate them to take advantage of their many common functions, which provides a cost advantage.”
* A new 50,000-barrel-per-day-capacity cat feed hydrotreater, also being designed by Motiva, will pre-treat feedstock for the refinery’s existing catalytic cracker
* With a capacity of 95,000 barrels per day, the coker is more than 50-percent larger than the refinery’s existing coker.
