* Project Summary: A greenfield refinery to serve the Southern Iraqi market

** UOP will provide reforming, isomerization, fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) and selective hydrotreating technologies
** Axens will provide residue & middle distillate hydrotreating and Isomerisation technologies

* There are two options
** VGO Hydrocracker + VGO FCC + Blown Asphalting
*** In this case, the upgrading of the vacuum residue is not considered, and it is used as fuel for power plant and asphalt production.
** AR Direct Desulfurization + Resid FCC
*** This is a scheme to convert most of atmospheric residue to light oils.
* H-OilRC Unit, - 52,000 barrels per day (BPSD)
* Prime-D™ – Gas Oil desulfurization hydrotreater - 105,000 BPSD
* Prime-K™ – Kerosene desulfurization hydrotreater - 24,000 BPSD
* Butane Isomerization unit – 11,900 BPSD.
