+++ The Route&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* The total length of the pipeline is 166 kilometres. Its major purpose is transit of natural gas to Germany and providing domestic consumption of Czech Republic.&lt;br /&gt;
* The gas will flow from Russia to Greifswald, Germany, and, further, through the OPAL gas pipeline to the German-Czech border, to the municipality of Brandov. The first interconnection with NET4GAS’s gas system is supposed to be made at the Hora Svaté Kateřiny border station.&lt;br /&gt;
* Gas will mostly flow in the direction of the Czech Republic and, further, to Germany. Nevertheless, the operation has been designed as bidirectional.&lt;br /&gt;

* The pipeline will also be connected to OPAL, which is part of the [Nordstream Gas Pipeline] project.&lt;br /&gt;
* The construction of pipelines and depositories is being co-financed by the EU. The RWE Gas Storage company will get EUR 35 million of European taxpayers' money to enlarge the depositories in the Czech Republic&lt;br /&gt;
