* The giant Clair field is the UK’s largest hydrocarbon resource, with total volumes initially in place across the entire field currently estimated at more than 7 billion barrels of oil equivalent
* Due to the highly complex and fractured nature of the reservoir, there has been considerable uncertainty as to how much of the oil could be recovered
* The Clair field extends over an area of 220km2, in water depths of approximately 140m
* Oil and gas is exported via pipelines to the [[[Sullom Voe Oil Terminal]]] on Shetland
* Platform flow rates are 60,000 BPD oil, 100,000 BPD water and 40 MMSCFD gas lift compression
* The platform topsides comprise three decks, which accommodate all the required facilities for drilling and processing of the produced fluids.
* The platform jacket for Clair is a four-legged single steel structure of around 165 metres (540 feet) in height.
