Description

• The Alma/Galia fields are located in blocks 30/24c and 30/25c respectively, 310km southeast of Aberdeen, in the Central North Sea.
• The development is consisted of 7 production wells and 2 water injection/disposal wells
• Production is via the EnQuest Producer Floating Production, Storage and Offloading vessel EnQuest Producer FPSO
• The field were previously called Duncan and Argyll Oil Fields, which were closed down due to a high water cut. Improvements in technology enabled the redevelopment of the fields.

Contractors

• Technip:
  • Installation of two 10” production flexible flowlines, one 8” water injection flexible flowline and one further 8” production flexible flowline,
  • Installation of three 8” flexible risers,
  • Installation of two production control umbilicals/risers,
  • Installation of four power cables and associated dynamic risers,
  • Procurement, fabrication and installation of a 175 ton manifold structure,
  • Associated trenching operations, tie-ins, testing and commissioning.

• 2012 - Enquest sold a 35% stake to Kufpec

• 2012 - Jumbo awarded FPSO mooring, installation and hook-up contract
• 2014 - FPSO mooring spread installed
• 2015 - First oil produced
• 2020 - The fields ended production
• 2020 - Decommissioning approved
