- Trent Gas Field & Tyne Gas Field were developed together in a joint project
- The fields lie in the Southern Gas Basin in 20 to 50 metres water depth
- There is one fixed steel normally unmanned platform per field
- Gas from Tyne is piped 57 kilometres east for processing on the Trent Platform
- From there it is transported through the EAGLES Pipeline to the Bacton Gas Plant
