+++ Description

+++ History
- 1975 - Svend Oil Field discovered
- 1982 - First oil produced
- 2017 - Total acquired a stake in its take over of Maersk
+++ Geology
- The Svend Field is an anticline structure induced through salt tectonics. This led to fracturing of the chalk in the reservoir, with a major north-south fault dividing the field into a western and an eastern block. In addition, the southern reservoir of the Svend Field is situated about 250 m lower than the northern reservoir. The northern reservoir has proved to have unusually favourable production properties.
