Summary Information
- Operator: Ithaca
- Country: UK
- Location: central North Sea
- Production start: 2017
- Partners:
- Type: Oil & Gas
- Estimated Reserves:
- Production Volume:
Description
- The Greater Stella Area lies within United Kingdom Continental Shelf (UKCS) Block 30/06a, in the central North Sea. Block 30/06a is approximately 238km south east of Peterhead and 17km from the UK-Norway median line
- The development includes the Stella, Harrier and Hurricane fields
- The development scheme is likely to involve up to 5 production wells drilled from a sub-sea drilling centre on Stella and 2 further production wells drilled on Harrier. The Harrier centre will be tied back to the Stella where the hydrocarbons from both fields (oil and gas) will be combined
- The development solution will involve the use of the FPF-1 semi-submersible floating production unit, owned by Petrofac
- Gas is transported on the Central Area Transmission System ("CATS") to the Teesside Gas Processing Plant TGPP
- The Vorlich field is being developed as an extension of the Stella develoment. Vorlich is a two-well development which will be tied back to the FPF-1 floating production facility.
- The Abigail field is being developed as a single well tie back to the Stella production facility
Contractors
- **EPC Subsea:** Manufacture of drill centre manifolds, riser base structures and export pipeline tie in structures
- **Technip:** EPIC subsea contract
- Detailed design and pipelay of a 33 kilometre 10” oil export and 63 kilometer 10” gas export pipeline to the production platform,
- Various subsea works to the Stella main drill center and North drill center including;
- Installation of manifolds, tee structures, flexible pipelay and spoolpiece components,
- Installation of the mooring system to the production platform and design and installation of five-slot mid water arch.
- **Vallourec:** Provision of seamless linepipe including coating and welding services
- **Applied Drilling Technology International:** Manage development drilling and completion operations
Vorlich field
- **WorleyParsons:** front-end engineering design (FEED) for the subsea tieback
