- 2008 - Höegh LNG filed a planning application with Barrow Borough council for the onshore installations of the Port Meridian project
- 2009 - Höegh LNG was granted final approvals to go ahead with the Port Meridian Deepwater Port project
- 2011 - LNG vessels ordered from Hyundai Heavy Industries
- 2015 - Meridian LNG signed supply agreement with Magnolia LNG
