History
- 2000 - Terminal operations began from train 1
- 2003 - Chiyoda-Foster Wheeler was awarded a contract by Ministry of Oil and Gas for the detailed engineering, procurement and construction (EPC)
- 2005 - First cargo is shipped from the terminal to Spain
- 2006 - Itochu Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, and Osaka Gas reached an agreement for a partial equity acquisition of Qalhat LNG

- Among the fields supplying the terminal are the Saih Nihayda Gas And Condensate Field, the Barik Gas Field and the Saih Rawl Gas Field
- Customers:
- Customers include Union Fenosa Gas 1.65 mtpa, Mitsubishi Corporation 0.8 mtpa
- In April 2000, it started to supply approx. 4 million tons annually to the Korea Gas Corporation.
- In October 2000, it began supplying approximately 700,000 tons annually to the Osaka Gas Company, Ltd.
