- The Northwest Pipeline system is a primary artery for the transmission of natural gas to the Pacific Northwest and Intermountain Region.
- It is a bi-directional transmission system crossing the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah and Colorado.
- Northwest’s bi-directional system provides access to British Columbia, Alberta, Rocky Mountain and San Juan Basin gas supplies.
- Northwest Pipeline owns a one-third interest in the Jackson Prairie underground storage facility in Washington and contracts with a third party for storage service in the Clay basin underground field in Utah.
- The pipeline is connected to the White River Natural Gas Hub in Rio Blanco County, Colorado and the Opal Natural Gas Hub
- It interconnects with the TransWestern Gas Pipeline and the Paiute Gas Pipeline at the Idaho-Nevada border
